Birthday Cupcake Dessert

(Tutu made by Cheri. Check her out here.)
A few cupcakes + sprinkles + awesome cake plate + whimsy candles =
Kick a&$ Birthday Dinner Dessert!
Cora made this funny face the whole time we sang to her...
She got used to the whole thing as soon as she had a cupcake in her hand...
It's so easy to make birthday's special for you little ones! She'll have a party on another day but on her actual brithday we always do something!
(Since Cora's bday is on Valentines, we have another tradition I'll share tomorrow... and I'm going to want your opinion if you have a holiday birthday in your family!!)
Do you do a birthday dessert or something else special on your kiddo's actual Birthday?
(If you have a post about it leave the link in the comments! I would love to get ideas!)

We celebrated Jenny's birthday SOOO many times (or at least it felt like it) this year. But, ON HER BIRTHDAY, we did a special dinner w/ birthday cake for dessert. (AND, she got to go to McDonald's - aka "The French Fry House" - for lunch and playtime.) I think it's important to celebrate the day, as well as the event, especially when they're young!

We do a few things. They get to pick a bday cereal - it's usually the one with the best toy inside! ha ha ha

They also get a bday pillowcase the week of their bday.

then on their bday the have a special place to sit at the table for meals, opening presents, etc.

I like to include a bday plate too!

We have multiple birthdays mixed with 4th of July, so I attempt to make each individual "birth"day special with sprinkles in pancakes and gifts at breakfast. Then proceed with anything simple and low cost, one on one if possible. http://sarahevery.blogspot.com/2009/07/birthdays-birthdays-birthdays.html All parties will be shared here on forward, so individual birthdays will be important to us.

Okay, you're really fun, and if we were friends I'd be laughing a whole lot more!!! Okay, so for my son's birthday I go to the donut store and get a dozen round donuts, pile them up and make a donut cake. Simple and delicious, and really, who doesn't love doughnuts? See ya on my blog. Haha
