Save the Pop-Up...

Every once in a while one of our pop-up books is a little roughed up and gets ripped apart (I'm sure this never happens at your house). I had been taping them... which lasts about 2.5 seconds before it is back into the fix-it pile.
So I came up with this solution...

Reminder:

The first Eli's Lids Linky "Remember When You Got Married?"will be on January 27th. So get those photos scanned in, and that post written so you can show off your day as a bride (or anti-bride!)!!!

Thank you for that wonderful idea! My daughter destroyed her first pop-up book like 2 days after she got it. I taped it all back, and, like you said, it was torn up again. Finally, I just got fed up and threw it away. Next time I will try this!

Great tip, I just wished it worked on regular books too! I hate when my books get shredded by a curious tot!

Ok, so have I mentioned that I work in Special Ed?

I have hot-glued, sewed, stapled and taped more things back together than I care to. It always breaks my heart when books get destroyed.

My kids at home would occasionally do this, and I repaired it just like you. :)

My kids at school? I think it's a competition to see how many things Teacher Janine will take home and repair in a week. Or better yet, once it's repaired, who can re-destroy it first? :)

So, I have laminated EVERY page of every book, every flap of every page.... :( Time consuming, but worth it. So, it hot-gluing your heart out doesn't work, LAMINATE IT! :)

Your blog is adorable!

My aunt use to live in Cal. and was a realtor there. So I remember hearing the crazy house prices. My best advice is start collecting ideas now and when the Lord does bless you. You can go crazy! hehe

God Bless,
KC <><

Yes go ahead. I didn't actually start it but it has been a blast. Find my ABC Photo Meme label and the first post tells you where to link to start. I know my friend over there would love some more links. :)

Oh and I'll be keeping my eye out, so come tell me. I can't wait to see yours.

My personal rule is only using pictures I've taken but that is not official. LOL

Also please test out Israel, your gonna love him. Promise :)

God Bless,
KC <><
